Rabbit - Goya

Goya was only with us for a short while so we didn't really get to know him. He was part of the magnificent seven rescue and was a very allusive rabbit to catch.

He stayed with his mate Rembrandt and seemed determined to divert us from catching her. At night while trying to catch them they would cuddle together grooming and loving on one another.

He was the prettiest bunny I had ever seen his colors were multi Calico and he had a way of blending into his surroundings.

On his initial health check we found a mass on his face and a lump on his hind end. After the vet saw him she found three abscesses on and in his face the diagnosis was bad. She would have to remove half of his face to remove the damage. She said that he was in horrible pain and she was surprised he could eat the damage was so bad. He was more then likely not going to be able to recover. So we made the sad decision to have him put down.

Rembrandt had a hard time and went through a period of sitting by the corner of the pen alone it took a while but now she has found a new mate in Rivera.
