Goat - Festus

Festus was picked up by animal control abandoned along a highway. He was going to be put down because he was extremely smelly, had nerve damage in his back legs and no one seemed to want him. Someone at the Nevada Humane Society asked if we would take him, saying he was an old, feeble goat who just needed somewhere to spend his last days. We said absolutely and got to work putting up a quick but sturdy temporary pen. It turns out he's not old or feeble, although he does have a bit of fainting goat in him and sometimes tips over when excited or startled. We're almost done with a big new pen for him, including a climbing area. As soon as the pen is completed, we'll seek some friends for him in need of rescue. (More photos to come soon.)
