Rose is our lightest bird out of all the white hens. She favors the grains and corn so she doesn't eat as much of the eggs or beans. For a while we thought that she might be getting picked on by the others but after careful observation we have found that she just dawdles while the others are eating. For rose food is not a high priority, she would just rather be watching then joining in a feast. Rose chooses to roost in a crate under the dog heater in the coup and at last evening bird count she can be seen swaddled deep in her straw/pine shaving nest.
